Immigration and acculturation stress
Life transitions
I'm especially committed to serving:
Recently arrived youth and families
Latinx and Spanish-speaking communities
Young people navigating cultural identity
Families experiencing generational or cultural conflicts
Services available in English and Spanish.
MY APPROACH
I practice from a liberation psychology framework, which means I understand that your challenges don't exist in isolation—they're connected to your family, culture, community, and the broader systems around you.
My Methods:
Narrative Therapy - We'll explore the stories you've been told and the stories you want to write
Liberation Psychology - We'll address both individual and systemic factors
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - Practical skills for managing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors
Motivational Interviewing - Finding your own path to change
Circle Keeping - Community-based healing practices
I bring a collaborative, accepting, and straightforward approach to our work together.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Our Journey Together:
Introduction and Assessment We'll explore what brings you to therapy, honoring your full context—cultural, familial, and personal.
Treatment Planning / Goal Setting Together, we'll set goals that reflect your values and what matters in your life and community.
Skills Building / Processing We'll develop practical tools while processing difficult experiences, always grounding our work in what's culturally relevant for you.
Reflection / Temperature Checks We'll regularly assess what's working and adjust our approach to ensure therapy serves you.
ABOUT ME
From 2019 through 2025, I've dedicated my practice to community mental health, with a primary focus on recently arrived youth and Transitional Age Youth. Working with teens, young adults, and their families, I've offered therapy, case management, and comprehensive support to contribute to stability in their lives during times of significant transition.
I'm a Certified Circle Keeper for the Joven Noble Currículum through the National Compadres Network, which has deepened my capacity to facilitate healing and growth in culturally grounded ways.
As an ENTJ who identifies as a selectively social introvert, I've found increasing stability and confidence over time. I bring this grounded, authentic presence to my therapeutic relationships.
