Rouse Relational Wellness was started to increase access to culturally relevant, values-based sex and relationship therapy. My goal for Rouse is to help clients work through shame and anxiety related to sex and relationships.

I offer services through individual, relationship, and group therapy and provide sex therapy consultations and trainings to clinicians.

Note: I am currently only accepting clients for group therapy, couples intensives or consulting practice owners. Please scroll below for our wonderful clinicians at Rouse.

CA Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, #161352

Culturally responsive therapy for teens, young adults, and families

From 2019 through 2025, I've dedicated my practice to community mental health, with a primary focus on recently arrived youth and Transitional Age Youth. Working with teens, young adults, and their families, I've offered therapy, case management, and comprehensive support to contribute to stability in their lives during times of significant transition.

I'm a Certified Circle Keeper for the Joven Noble Currículum through the National Compadres Network, which has deepened my capacity to facilitate healing and growth in culturally grounded ways.

As an ENTJ who identifies as a selectively social introvert, I've found increasing stability and confidence over time. I bring this grounded, authentic presence to my therapeutic relationships.

Services available in English and Spanish.

My therapeutic practice emphasizes support for traditionally disenfranchised communities and recognizes the unique challenges experienced by diverse peoples. I believe that one of the foundational components to all human experience is the societal oppression all around us, and as such, I focus on integrating anti-oppression and social justice concepts into my client relationships so that I may understand my clients' unique challenges and experiences.

I use my background in cultural studies and sex education to look at how challenging social pressures affect your life and relationships. This perspective helps us understand that many difficulties in life and love stem from external stress, not personal failure. My main goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where individuals, partners, and groups can learn practical ways to feel calmer, handle conflicts better, and communicate clearly. I have extensive experience with many sexual topics, and I specialize in supporting people who are kinky (BDSM), in open or polyamorous relationships, and those who identify as asexual.

Dana Lanier, AMFT

My work integrates a variety of theories and approaches, but is rooted in the use of Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory. IFS is a model of psychotherapy that views the mind as being composed of multiple "parts," much like an internal family. This approach holds true that everyone has a core, undamaged self, which possesses qualities like calm, curiosity, compassion, and clarity.
