Affirming therapy for neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ folks

I help neurodivergent individuals, LGBTQ+ folks, and those with chronic illness/disability, build authentic lives in a world that wasn't built for us. Whether you're navigating trauma, relationship challenges, or just trying to show up as your full self, I create a space where you can be accepted for who you are while being challenged to grow.

WHO I WORK WITH

I work with adolescents (13-18), young adults (19-25), and adults (26-64) who are:

  • Neurodivergent (autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergence)

  • LGBTQ+, including trans and non-binary individuals

  • Living with chronic illness and/or disability

  • Healing from trauma and (C)PTSD

  • Navigating sexual dysfunction or intimacy challenges

  • Working on relationship and marriage issues

I'm especially committed to serving:

  • Neurodivergent folks seeking affirming, knowledgeable care

  • Trans and non-binary individuals

  • People at the intersection of disability, queerness, and trauma

  • Those seeking therapy rooted in disability justice principles

Services available telehealth-only throughout California.

MY APPROACH

I'm authentic, straightforward, and collaborative. My practice is rooted in disability justice principles—centering those who have been impacted by ableism and oppression—and also uses a lot of humor. I aim to create a safe, authentic relational space where clients can show up as their full selves and be accepted for who they are while still being challenged to grow to meet their goals.

My Framework

Neurodivergence-Affirming Care: I have extensive training and consultation around neurodivergence. I understand autistic and ADHD experiences, sensory processing differences, executive functioning challenges, and the impact of masking. Therapy with me doesn't aim to make you "normal"—it helps you understand yourself better and build skills that align with how you actually function.

Disability Justice-Rooted Practice: Disability justice focuses on the intersectionality of disabled people and strives for collective liberation. I understand that disability, neurodivergence, chronic illness, and queerness aren't problems to fix—they're parts of your identity that deserve affirmation and support. My practice works against ableism and builds strategies that work for your brain and body.

Trauma-Informed Approaches: Trauma impacts how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world. For neurodivergent, disabled, and LGBTQ+ folks, trauma often includes medical trauma, discrimination, family rejection, and systemic marginalization. I bring specialized training in trauma and sexual assault counseling to support deep healing.

LGBTQ+ and Trans-Affirming Care: I provide knowledgeable, affirming care to LGBTQ+ individuals, including trans and non-binary folks. You won't need to educate me or explain yourself. I understand what it means to live as a queer trans person in this world.

My Methods

  • Attachment Based Therapy

  • The Gottman Method (for couples and relationships)

  • Humanistic approaches

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) training

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy

  • Disability justice framework
