Does anxiety prevent you from enjoying sex? Do you:

  • Freeze up when talking to a potential partner about or during sex?

  • Find yourself stuck in your own head during moments of intimacy?

  • Fixate on your performance and whether or not you’re doing “well” when you’re having sex with others?

  • Feel like you’re outside of your own head watching the scene play out in front of you when you’re having sex?

  • Feel nervous when your partner initiates intimacy?

If these things sound familiar, this workbook was made with you in mind. Using mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and queer theory, Sex Worriers offers practical solutions for managing your anxiety in moments of physical connection and intimacy.

Additionally, communication tools are included to help you share more openly with a partner.

How this workbook helps:

This workbook offers exercises to help you if you can’t get out of your head enough to enjoy sex or relationships. Using mindfulness, journaling and self-reflection, Sex Worriers helps you develop methods of relaxation to be fully present during sex with journaling exercises, communication tools to help you share more openly with your partner, and pages of resources, including books, podcasts, videos and apps!

What you get:

At 65 pages with 16 exercises, Sex Worriers offers a different perspective to your sex life, gender and relationships. This workbook includes exercises, interventions, and resources to help solidify and further your understanding of how anxiety interacts with sex, dating, and relationships, and how you can manage it when it comes up.

Just like your relationship with your sexuality and your body, there is no one right way to engage with Sex Worriers . You can go through it from start to finish, or you can pick and choose your way around. While you may benefit from all the exercises and reflections included, they don’t depend on one another. The goal of this workbook is to empower you to let go of judgment and expectation and engage with yourself & your body meaningfully and mindfully.

Who this helps:

Sex Worriers is written for you if you’re a cis-gendered man, were raised as a man, or have a partner who is a man. Designed to help those who struggle to manage anxiety in moments of sex and intimacy, this workbook can help anyone learn techniques for a more mindful approach to sex.

About the Author:

David Khalili is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the San Francisco Bay Area. His primary focus is on sex and relationships with individuals, couples, and polycules. Before entering the world of therapy, David worked for five years in sex shops, so he knows first hand the kinds of questions people come in asking with their hats pulled low or their sunglasses on to cover their faces. He has spent the last ten years working with and helping men overcome issues of self-doubt, shame, guilt, and anxiety around their sexual selves and relationships. David’s main clinical focus is on on sex and anxiety, open relationships, multi-heritage couples, and first-generation American-born individuals.
