The Work

My work as a therapist centers on helping you facilitate meaningful changes. Our time together is a space to reconnect with yourself and the life you want to create.

I believe therapy works best when it can meet you where you are. I take an integrative approach that considers how you think about things, feel about things, and how you make meaning in life. I see myself as a collaborator in developing goals and determining the direction of the therapy. I see you as the expert in your experience and director of the pace we take to explore the more tender aspects of your experience.

The foundation of our work together centers on a feminist and liberation perspective acknowledging the weight, need, and impact of relationships on well-being. Your story matters. The decisions you have had to make to navigate culture, community, and personal lives matter. Your inherent sense of creativity also matters, even if it has gone unnoticed thus far.
In our work together, we will explore new ways of relating to ourselves and the concerns that bring you to therapy. Ultimately I hope that we develop a sustainable way of relating that is unique to you.
